NSF®
Wastewater Education partners with NSF International to provide the NSF INTERNATIONAL ONSITE WASTEWATER INSPECTOR ACCREDITATION PROGRAM Classroom Course and Exam. (Coupled with the Practical Field Examination to follow, this forms NSF International Inspector Accreditation.)

To achieve Accreditation, candidates must successfully complete BOTH the NSF WRITTEN Exam and the ADDITIONAL, locally Proctored Field Exam.

NSF International, an independent, not-for profit, non-governmental organization, is dedicated to being the leading global provider of public health and safety-based risk management solutions while serving the interests of all stakeholders. NSF International (NSF) offers accreditation as an Onsite Wastewater Inspector to any individual, subject to the requirements of NSF policies and knowledge of onsite water supplies and/or wastewater treatment/disposal system operation. The NSF ONSITE WASTEWATER INSPECTOR ACCREDITATION credential is recognized nationally.
Prospective candidates must:
a) Complete the NSF Application Form [provided on the day of the course]
b) Provide verification of a High School Diploma or relevant additional professional training.
c) Complete this training course or show evidence of the equivalent.
d) Provide a Photo ID.
1. TRAINING COURSE DETAILS:
Schedule And Fees - 8 Hour Education Course Fee: $200.00
Inspector Training and Education Course Fee All Coursework materials will be provided. Applicants will be required to register as NSF Candidates on the day.
2. NSF Classroom Examination
3 hour ‘Open Book’ written exam - $85.00

The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions. A 75% passing grade is required.
IF YOU WISH TO SCHEDULE A PROCTORED WRITTEN EXAM INDIVIDUALLY THE NSF FEE IS $95 PLUS PROCTOR TIME AND TRAVEL EXPENSES.
3. NSF Field Examination
To complete NSF Accreditation, candidates who pass the WRITTEN Exam are required to undertake a ‘one-on-one’ practical Field Examination. Wastewater Education will provide Field Exam Proctors and arrange for each candidate to visit test system sites.

Every effort will be made to schedule the Field Practical Exam in a prompt and timely manner in the jurisdiction you primarily do business in.
PLEASE NOTE: An Annual Accreditation Renewal Fee ($195.00 charged on the following January 1) is required to maintain NSF Certification
